DEAR TATTLER (PANTOUM SONNET)

Let me be don’t twist my lung
Lest you make me spit on you
Fill you up with watery tongue
Chase the demon out of you.

Please dont make me spit on you
Turn your shaft from that gossip
Chase the demon out of you
…Else I lash you with a whip!

Show the young to live for change
Turn your shaft from that gossip
Dont dare fail to change your ways
…Else I lash you with a whip!

Fill you up with watery tongue
Let me be don’t twist my lung!

A SINGLE DROP OF RAIN

In the balmy air of the twilight
My body and soul adventured
With a damp which promises of rain
The hurly-burly of the city seemed to be trapped in its closet.

I stepped out from the comfort of my bed
My hands flatly stretched and as hope smiled at me
A single drop of rain fell on my hands
And it glitters like the tears of love
Those usually expressed through your eyes.

With a single drop of rain
I felt catapulted into a whirlwind of tour
A tour of fame and glory second to non
One not to return from, any sooner.

How I wish all days can be promising as this friendly weather
But life is not always rosy
While caught up in my worries
A single drop of rain can make a difference
A lasting one like the coolness of your kiss on my lips.

IN THE GRIP OF PAIN

In a blink of the eye, everything changes
My body and soul felt weak
And powerless without you
As it ceded me to the grip of pain.

The grip of pain like an arrow
It strucked me straight into the heart, so narrow!
You told me you’ll never leave
How could I have not seen it coming?
Your absence have shattered my dreams
And enveloped me in the confines of pain and grief.

What happened to the great memories?
Of the sweet moments of our love melodies
Now you leave me in the grip of pain
A tune only I have to dance to.

Your absence took me by shock
With only pain and agony to weigh up against luck
My freedom from pain I have to prise out
With a watchword; once bitten twice shy!

ART OF POETRY

Bitter or sweet, it all begins from the heart
My thoughts, my feelings, creates an image within
Like a secret longing to be revealed through a medium
It remains unknown to the universe.

In the agony of my deep thoughts
Nature smiled at me, and it glistened like the sunset
Definitely, a new hope is born
The hope to share my thoughts in writing
A poetic work of Art.

A poetic work of Art
There you can reach my thoughts
So beautiful, it reflects the heart
A ‘Priceless’ tool that can’t be bought.

With the power of Art
I’ll effect change
Where poetry leads
I’ll follow!

OPPORTUNITIES

A dawn of a new day begins
An extra day for man to solve the puzzles of life
Abound around him are opportunities, begging to be exploited.
The exploits of which its outcome is uncertain

Why? Because some are real opportunities, and some are the opposite.
So I guess life is like skating on a thin ice
So dicey, yet man have to take up different opportunities,
Of course I mean those he can recognise..

Hmm... How unfair life could be, Showering us with Opportunities, So encrypt that man is face with the challenges of recognising them..
In that case, only the wise ones get the best use of opportunities.
Are you willing to let that great opportunity slip out of your grasp?
If you do, well you might as well have lost it forever
Opportunities will come and go, but the ones exploited will always stay.

Opportunities- abundant yet, seem convoluted!

Thanks for stopping by!

CHANCES

I can't but imagine what this day has to offer
With a day so cold as an ice Perhaps the cold was intensified by the morning dew
Even the birds can't help but sing to my ears.

Boys and girls are set for school The working class must meet up with time
And here I'm in this murky room While I dash my chances of a lifetime.

Suddenly, the sun peeked at me from behind the cloud
I need not anyone to tell me my chances are bright
But to seize them and hope my labours are crowned
Coz I took my chances right.

Day and Night I'll pray
Hardwork they say pays
In faith I'll work my way
To see my chances pave way.
